Ok, ok, ok...before we can get on with this year's booth babe contest (the Vish swears it is coming this week) it is time to crown the winner of last year's contest.
J-Vicious searched high and low across the vast expanse that is the Interbike expo hall in search of the beautiful babe that you - fine GC readers - selected as the most deserving of the crown for 2005
And the winner is...
Huh? How can that be? I mean...he's a nice guy and all...and sure he won the NORBA short track and cross country titles two years running, but cycling accomplishments does not a booth babe make.
You know that.
But wait a minute...I thought Keri Pink representing Smith Optics won last year's contest? That's right, but we had a problem. Keri didn't make it out to Interbike this year. Uh oh...no contest crowning contingency plan. So we had to think on our feet.
Suddenly the Vish took off through the boisterous crowd.
"Come on G...Keri Pink is engaged to Geoff Kabush...he'll be in the Maxxis booth...let's hope the wedding is still on," said Vicious.
Sure enough we found Geoff dilligently representing for Maxxis. He confirmed that there would indeed be a wedding with Ms. Pink the following week. Well we checked the booth babe contest bylaws and determined that Geoff could accept the crown on Keri's behalf.
Geoff was just speechless when he saw the GC booth babe tiara,
J-Vicious fashioned out of a mountain bike helmet visor. Ingenious.
Geoff overwhelmed with excitement accepting on behalf of his beautiful bride to be.
Don't forget to pass the tiara along to Keri...
Here's the happy couple...awwww...ain't they cute? Congratulations you too...we'll see you next year when you pass the tiara along to this year's winner (photo credit).
