I mentioned in my preview to the Outdoor Demo day one that I would be checking into the new 29 inch version of the Python. Well I talked to the rep. in the Hutchison booth only to find out that the tire has yet to make it to Interbike. I was able to confirm that the tire is a 2.0 and not the larger 2.3 some expected. The U.S. representative admitted that the European company may simply not be aware of the U.S. demand for more all-terrain oriented 29er tires.
He said either a 2.3 endurance version will be next or the Bulldog pattern, but a decision has not yet been reached.
