How do you improve on one ot the hottest bikes of 2006? Make one out of carbon. The new Cannondale Rush Carbon is even lighter and stiffer than it's aluminum counterpart. In fact this team issued version weighs in at under 24 pounds. The bike is an excellent climber with almost no noticeable pedal induced bob.
When properly tuned the 110 millimeters of front and rear suspension is very responsive and even feels a bit tight. The new Lefty Speed SL front fork weighs in at 2.7 pounds with even more stiffness than its predecessor.
There is nothing like a carbon fiber bike to reduce the fatigue factor. You get none of the chatter that comes from tightly spaced roots as is common in my neck of the woods. Of course the Rush Carbon is no exception. This thing is smooth, climbs, accelerates, and is comfortable. No wonder it hits the endurance riding bullseye.
