Cannondale is preparing to launch a new mountain bike in the line-up that appears to be aimed squarely at the enduro market. The 2006 Cannondale Rush, as its called, fits in between the cross-country racing Scalpel and the all-mountain Prophet according to this review by a shop in Georgia.
Cannondale must be pretty close to launching in the U.S. as Brad (product manager?) from Cannondale was preparing to post a review on his blog (note the permalink does not work correctly so you may need to scroll down on the page).
The Rush has 4 inches of travel in both the front and rear and weighs less than the Prophet. The bike also includes Cannondale's unique Lefty carbon front shock. Rush is said to be an excellent descender and provides good climbing because of the traction provided by the full suspension.
Apparently the bike is starting to go on sale in Europe as evidenced by the catalog of this shop in the U.K. It would appear that kits will be named similarly to that of the Scalpel and Prophet in that the 3000 will be made up of mostly Shimano XTR parts, 2000 will be XT, and so on down the line.
Here is a photo of the team replica version of the Rush found via a link provided by Making it Easier.
