Why? Because - like Marla Streb - I want to believe. But also because the facts as they are presented just don't add up. Take a few minutes and read this post and subsequent comments from tdfblog. For now it seems that most Americans believe Armstrong; according to this MSNBC poll and other Internet polls I have seen. Yes, I realize these polls are not scientific. In the case of the MSNBC poll, however, 70,000 people participated and nearly 80% of the respondents believe Armstrong. Though I wonder if we are nearing a tipping point of disbelief as more commentators express their anti-Armstrong opinions without regard to the ethical considerations.
