I researched a number of helmets before settling on the Havoc. The fit and finish of helmets can vary widely, so I would suggest making sure the model you choose fits well on your head. Folks seem to agree that the Havoc offers excellent protection against injury (this is why we wear helmets right?). I will almost always advise folks that "form follows function", but I can say, in addition to those that have had the misfortune to need this helmet for protection (its function), the Havoc is actually a nice looking, sporty helmet (its form).
My initial price range was from $50-$80 for a helmet, and the Havoc comes in at $69.99. The Havoc seemed to sit better on my head than the Bell offerings that I was also considering. In addition, the 27 vents provide you with ample cooling. Its telling that I never take this helmet off during a ride when we stop for a breather or to take a few pictures. The padding on the inside of the helmet is attached with velco, so you can move it around a bit to customize the fit. Fit System: Roc Loc 3. This sytem works very well for me, set it, and forget about it. Construction: In-Mold. Ventilation: 27 Vents. Again, the Havoc is a great helmet to keep your head cool. Features: Snap-fit visor. Weight: 10.5 oz. / 298g. Sizes: Small (51-55cm), Medium (55-59cm), & Large (59-63cm). Bottom Line: The Havoc is solid helmit, one to definately consider, but its a bit on the pricey side at $69.99.
