Traversing the Fairfax CCT; an "urban epic"

To ride the entire length of the more than 30 mile Fairfax Cross County Trail (CCT) anytime would be challenging, but riding it in the middle of December produced some additional difficulties. I was to meet DT (MORE's liason for the Colts Neck Trail in Reston), JoeP. (Wakefield liason), Randy Kerr (CCT liason), Gary Ryan, Lee Diehr, and Dan Hoke with the idea that we would ride the entire CCT and map it with our GPS systems. (I had never met any of these guys before, but DT had seen one of my posts on the CCT and invited me along. Thanks DT!)

Cranky Monkey race series schedule posted

Last Monday EX2 Adventures posted it's 2005 race schedule. This year there are 10 races for trail runners, adventure racers, and mountain bikers. There will be three races in the popular Cranky Monkey cross-country mountain bike race series. The first two races (one of which is a criterium) will be held at Wakefield Park, while the final will be held at Fountainhead.
